The University of Antwerp is hosting the 17th EU/ME workshop on "Design and Analysis of Metaheuristics". The University buildings are located in the city center of Antwerp, at walking distance from the train and bus station, hotels and the touristic city center. The workshop will take place in the Grauwzusters Cloister Graduation Hall (Lange Sint-Annastraat 7, 2000 Antwerp).

How to get there?

By train

Antwerp'S Central Station is a 12 minute walk from the venue. There is a direct train connection between Brussels International Airport and Antwerp Central Station. More information about train tickets and timetables is available on the website of NMBS.

By bus or tram

Several trams and buses pass near the venue. The website of De Lijn provides a tool to generate the best route between two different places in the city. The information about the public transportation system of Antwerp is also available in Google Maps.

By car

On-street parking in the city center is fee-based, with a maximum parking time of three hours. A few parking lots with unlimited parking duration are available in the city center.


Attendees are requested to book hotel rooms themselves. A list of hotels is available via Booking, Google Hotel Finder and Tripadvisor.
